Ask Denovo - Release 24 - Simplified User Logging

Simplified user logging – before, you had to turn on logging at the client level and the Enterprise Server which was time-consuming and prone for missing a level. With Release 24, turning on and off debug logging and finding, downloading, and deleting the log files can now be done from one place!

This enhancement performs all these steps from one place in Server Manager:

- New link under Diagnostics in Server Manager.
- Type in the user name.
- Check the boxes for which logs you want.
- Hit the button to enable logging for the user.
- Have the user log in (if they haven’t already) and recreate the issue.
- When they are done, hit the button to collect and Zip the log files.
- Hit the link to download the Zip file.
- Hit the button to disable logging.

Pros:
- Highly convenient.  You don’t have to hunt down all the things mentioned above.
- You can turn on debug logging without having the user log in first.

Cons:
- This only works for one user at a time.  If you want to debug someone else, you have to disable it for person you’re debugging now.
- It does not debug BSSV.  For that you still have to do all the steps above.
