"Ask Denovo" was recently sent a tip from a manufacturer and distributor.
They recently had an issue with their ASN. The dates were not formatted in the flat file. The format is supposed to be 00/00/0000, but it was coming out ase 0/0/0000. The original concern was the rather large development effort they thought was ahead of them to fix this. The answer was simply changing the User Profile (P0092) Date Format to MDE here:
