In the most recent Release 23 update, Oracle has provided a new report, R41995, which will update the Quantity On-Hand amount for an item/branch/location/lot record based on either the Cardex records (F4111) or the combination of Cardex and Item As-Of table (F41112). Before this report was created, fixes to the Quantity On-Hand value in table F41021 were done via database updates like SQL.
The new report has a proof and final option to give you the opportunity to review the information before processing the update. This is what the output of the report looks like:
Please note that this relies on your Cardex being complete, not missing any records including a beginning balance record. It is not uncommon (although not best practice) for some companies using JDE to have started using Inventory Management without this beginning record. If your company is missing this record, you will not be able to use this new report. Let us know if this is the case – we can help!
