# Ask Denovo - Form Extensions: A History Lesson

Welcome back to our new blog series: Ask Denovo, in which we take questions from readers like you on all things JD Edwards, E-Business Suite, OCI, and Oracle Cloud Apps. We are already getting some fantastic interaction and question submissions. Keep those great questions coming!

![Form Extension Hero](https://www.denovo-us.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Blog%20Images/Form%20Extension%20Hero.png?width=187&height=104&name=Form%20Extension%20Hero.png)Form Extensions have had more improvements in functionality than any other UDO. Since their introduction in 9.2.2.4, there have been at least 15 enhancements, all the way up through 9.2.6! This is a condensed list of only half of those improvements:

- Release 9.2.3.3: Associate orchestrations with events, thereby enabling the system to invoke Orchestrations from form or control events. Add new web buttons.
- Release 9.2.4.3: Hide, unhide, rename, and reset form controls.
- Release 9.2.4.4: Add new form and row exits and associate a form interconnection with the new form and row exits.
- Release 9.2.5: Mark a field as required. Add hidden business view columns to the grid.
- Release 9.2.5.3: Associate a description with a text field.
- Release 9.2.6: Enabling a grid column in an editable form.
