Tips & Tricks - Maintaining Item Availability Integrity

Written by Denovo | May 1, 2025 1:21:59 PM
Are you getting complaints from your Supply Chain Team that the Commitment or Quantity on Hand Amounts in Item Availability are Inaccurate?  Are you still using SQL to correct discrepancies in F41021?  If so, JDE has standard programs that can help!

The Basics:
R42995 – Repost Active Sales Orders – This UBE has multiple functions.  It can re-commit future orders.  It can also reset commitments for active sales orders, but remember it can’t be run to do both at the same time.  Separate versions are needed for each function.   (Oracle Doc ID 625504.1)
R43990 – Repost Open Purchase Orders – This UBE will update the purchase order-related Item availability fields.  (Orace Doc ID 631844.1)
R3190 – Repost Open Work Orders – This UBE will update the commitment quantities for the work order-related quantities.  (Oracle Doc ID 1248874.1)

The Not Well Known:
R42990 – Refresh Inventory Commitments – New in 9.2, this UBE will refresh the inventory commitments for items not on an open sales order.  Based on the configuration, it can launch the R42995 when it completes.  (Oracle Doc ID 2230896.1)
P42210/R42210 – Manual Rollback of the Item Location File (F41021) – this can be used to correct integrity issues when those pesky asynchronous errors pop up during a transaction, such as ship confirm.  Important Note – before using this program, check the F41021WF and remove old records as needed.  Rolling back old records will cause integrity issues.  (Oracle Doc ID 625445.1)

The Most Recent:
R41995 – Repost - Update on Hand Inventory – this UBE can be run to update the Item Location Quantity on Hand in the F41021 table based on the Item Ledger.  Important Note - This program has a proof and final mode and is intended to be run only on items with known issues.  This is not a job meant for the scheduler – it should always be run manually.  Ask Denovo covered this UBE when it was first released in Release 23. See the Ask Denovo blog posting here for more details. (Oracle Doc ID 2973692.1)
