GDC was previously hosted in a private cloud with a different hosting provider and was looking for a more modern, contemporary support model, along with increased stability and confidence in their systems availability. Although there are many similarities with today’s public and private cloud offerings, Oracle’s Public Cloud Infrastructure provided GDC Communities the greatest confidence their [JD Edwards](https://denovo-us.com/solution-expertise/oracle-jd-edwards/) Enterprise One system was secure and positioned to leverage all the value their Oracle investment could offer. As part of their cloud migration, Denovo performed a technical and upgrade of GDC’s Enterprise One to the latest 9.2 release. Being able to upgrade as part of a migration saves money and considerably reduces risk, as GDC Communities discovered during the process. --- > *[Denovo’s Managed Services ](https://denovo-us.com/cloud-hosting/)team has done a great job of making the migration of JDE to OCI seamless, and the users don’t know they have changed clouds. Great service response and extensive JD Edwards knowledge is critical to ensuring the availability of the system to our users. This is why we chose Denovo as our trusted advisor for the move to public cloud”.  Khin Long, VP of IT at GDC Communities* > > *“We are excited to add GDC Communities to the Denovo family. We are pleased that we were able to bundle Oracle Public Cloud, with Denovo Managed Services and Consulting to meet GDC’s business requirements.” Don Landrum, EVP of Sales, Denovo   * --- **[About GDC Communities](https://www.genstar.com/)** Genstar Development Company and GDC Communities have been developing some of the most desirable residential new home communities throughout Canada and the United States for over 65 years.
