Many JDE customers have been "lift-and-shift"-ing for years, letting the improvements in each new iteration of JDE pass them by. Well that ends today! Ask Denovo now has a new category of blog post - Did You Know! These are new features and new or updated functionality that us at Denovo have seen companies not taking advantage of which we can attribute to years of upgrades without improvement, a common theme in most upgrades for at least a decade.
This is a path to the general accounting interactive integrities:
Each application has a header area for inquiry like this one for Transactions to Batch Headers:
Each has actions you can take directly from the application to resolve the issues. For example in this Transactions to Batch Headers, there is a Form option to Rebuild Batch Headers - in mere seconds they're built (granted the integrity UBE itself rebuilds headers, too).
There is an important caveat to these applications - if the search is too broad, it will time out and return a web exception error. It was Oracle's suggestion when these were first rolled out that you first use the canned integrity reports these apps are designed for to do targeted searches. Once you're familiar with your integrity issues (or lack of them), your searches can be focused only on recent months.
These applications build out workfiles, like F007021W, which need purging via the single purge UBE, R007103. This can be a scheduled job to run nightly or weekly depending on the frequency of the integrity application usage.
