JD EDWARDS 9.2.5.3 TECHNICAL ENHANCEMENT DEEP DIVE

In our previous installment, Susan Szymanski, VP, Senior Solution Architect for Denovo dove into the functional enhancements of this release. Today, Todd Adler, Solutions Architect for Denovo takes a quick dive into a few technical benefits of Tools Release 9.2.5.3.

  • The first technical benefit of the Tools Release is that the E1local Oracle Database is no longer required to be installed on a Development Workstation.  This will save time and hardware resources required to install and configure a Development workstation.
  • Another advantage of the tools is that all the certified browsers are now supported on a Web Dev Client. In the previous tools when a developer is testing the functionality of their objects changes on a Web Dev Client, Internet Explorer has always been the required browser.  With the new Tools Release, all other JD Edwards EnterpriseOne certified browsers such as Chrome or Firefox are now supported.
  • Tools release 9.2.5.3 also offers an update to allow Orchestration dependencies to be accessed through the user define object workbench (P98220U).  Before the Tools Release, the Orchestration dependencies could only be reviewed by opening the Orchestrator Studio.
  • As well as the new technical functionality, Tools Release 9.2.5.3 helps create an Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne path from 32 Bit to 64 Bit processing.  Moving to 64 Bit enables JD Edwards to deliver future product innovation as well as supporting newer releases of the technology stack (for example new tools releases and updates).

These are just a few new and exciting Technical features for Tools Release 9.2.5.3.
